Heavy-duty OFFNER digging fork with 4 forged tines and ash wood handle
OFFNER digging fork, heavy-duty model with 4 flat tines in bronze, complete with an ash wood ATLAS handle, 90 cm long, fitted with a T-grip. The strong forged tines have a sharp point and are 1.7 cm wide and 27 cm long. The fork is attached to the handle with a tang and spring socket.
A digging fork is used for digging over or loosening soil, transplanting perennials and shrubs, turning compost piles, and lifting potatoes and other tuber crops.
The advantage over a spade is that, thanks to the flat tines, there is much less chance of roots being damaged or cut off. In addition, much less soil and stones stick to it, making the blade lighter.
The ATLAS T-handle with T-grip fits comfortably in the hand. Thanks to the shape of the grip, the user has a good hold while digging and lifting.
The ATLAS handle is made from ash root stock, which contains the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing, and strong. The ash wood is re-dried, so it will not shrink and the tool stays firmly attached to the handle.
