ATLAS grain shovel handle made of ash wood, straight handle with a length of 130 cm. This handle is intended for the plastic grain shovel with article number 790095.
ATLAS grain shovel handles are made from ash rootstocks, which contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing, and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes: during the first drying process, sawn ash wood boards are air-dried. During the second process, the ash wood is computer-controlled re-dried in a climate chamber. Because of the re-drying, the handle does not shrink and tools stay firmly attached to the handle.
The ATLAS handle is then waxed with the plant-based Carnauba. This ensures that the wood can breathe, does not absorb water or dirt, and retains its beautiful light color. The waxing provides a longer lifespan and a pleasantly smooth handle, helping prevent blisters. In addition, the plant-based waxing of handles is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.
ATLAS grain shovel handles are manufactured entirely carbon-neutrally in the Netherlands.
