OFFNER aluminium grain shovel, with wear strip and bent ATLAS shovel handle, length 130 cm.
The aluminium blade is hardened, which prevents premature wear on the underside and cheeks. In addition, the grain shovel is fitted with a sturdy steel wear strip, reducing wear on the front of the blade.
OFFNER grain shovels are very strong, lightweight, and ideal for scooping large, light volumes.
ATLAS shovel handles are made from ash wood rootstock, which contains the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing, and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes. By drying back, the handle does not shrink, and tools stay firmly attached to the handle.
Next, the ATLAS shovel handles are bent in boiling water. This allows the wood grain or fiber in the handle to follow the bend, preventing the grain from running out of the handle (a running grain is weaker). The bending process makes the handle extremely strong.
Finally, the ATLAS handle is waxed with plant-based Carnauba. This allows the wood to breathe, prevents it from absorbing water or dirt, and preserves its beautiful natural color.
