OFFNER aluminium grain shovel, with a steel wear strip and bent ATLAS D-handle, 95 cm long.
The aluminium blade is hardened, which prevents premature wear on the underside and sides. In addition, the grain shovel is fitted with a sturdy steel wear strip, which reduces wear on the front of the blade.
OFFNER grain shovels are very strong, lightweight, and ideal for scooping up large, light volumes.
The comfortable D-grip and strong handle are manufactured from one piece by a CNC-controlled machine. The D-grip handle is reinforced with a metal pin.
ATLAS D-handles are made from ash wood rootstock, which contains the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing, and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes. By redrying, the handle does not shrink, and tools remain firmly fixed to the handle.
The ATLAS D-handles are then bent in boiling water. This causes the wood grain to bend along with the handle, preventing the grain from running out of the handle (a running grain is weaker). The bending process makes the handle extremely strong.
Finally, the ATLAS handle is waxed with the plant-based Carnauba. This allows the wood to breathe, does not absorb water or dirt, and preserves its beautiful light color.
