OFFNER JUMBO grain shovel, aluminium, blade size 36 x 48 cm, with steel wear strip and bent ATLAS metal D-handle, 95 cm long.
The aluminium blade is hardened, which prevents premature wear on the underside and cheeks. In addition, the grain shovel is equipped with a sturdy steel wear strip, resulting in less wear on the front of the blade.
OFFNER grain shovels are very strong, lightweight, and ideal for scooping up large, light volumes. The blade of the OFFNER JUMBO grain shovel is extra large.
ATLAS metal D-handles are made from ash wood rootstock, which contains the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing, and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes. By redrying, the handle does not shrink, and the tool stays firmly attached to the handle.
Next, the ATLAS metal D-handles are bent in boiling water. This causes the wood grain in the handle to bend along with it and prevents the grain from running out of the handle (a running grain is weaker). The bending process makes the handle extremely strong.
Finally, the ATLAS handle is waxed with plant-based Carnauba. This allows the wood to breathe, prevents it from absorbing water or dirt, and preserves its beautiful natural color.
