ATLAS grain shovel Swedish model aluminium, with a steel wear strip and bent ATLAS shovel handle in a length of 130 cm.
The aluminium blade is extra hardened by the addition of manganese, which prevents premature wear on the underside and sides. In addition, the grain shovel is equipped with a sturdy steel wear strip, reducing wear on the front edge of the blade.
ATLAS grain shovels are very strong, lightweight, and ideal for scooping large, light volumes.
ATLAS shovel handles are made from ash wood rootstock, which contains the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing, and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes. By redrying, the handle does not shrink, and the tool stays firmly attached to the handle.
Next, the ATLAS shovel handles are bent in boiling water. This causes the wood grain or fibers in the handle to bend with it, preventing the grain from running out of the handle (a running grain is weaker). The bending process makes the handle extremely strong.
Finally, the ATLAS handle is waxed with plant-based Carnauba. This allows the wood to breathe, prevents it from absorbing water or dirt, and preserves its beautiful natural color.
