Plastic Grain Shovel or Feeding Shovel with long ATLAS handle.
Grain Shovel, Snow Shovel or Feeding Shovel ATLAS plastic, supplied complete with a straight Ash wood ATLAS handle with a length of 130 cm.
The strong blade of this grain shovel is made entirely of plastic. As a result, it barely scratches the surface and makes less noise than an aluminium or steel version. The plastic ATLAS grain shovel is ideal for scooping up large volumes of light material such as snow, feed, or garden waste.
The plastic ATLAS grain shovel is also available with an ATLAS plastic D-handle of 95 cm, a fully plastic handle, and without a handle.
ATLAS grain shovel handles are made from Ash rootstock, which contains the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing, and strong. The Ash wood undergoes two drying processes. Because of the re-drying, the handle does not shrink, and tools stay firmly attached to the handle.
Next, the ATLAS shovel handles are bent in boiling water. This allows the wood grain or fiber in the handle to bend along with it and prevents the grain from running out of the handle (a running grain is weaker). The bending process makes the handle extremely strong.
Finally, the ATLAS handle is waxed with the plant-based Carnauba. This allows the wood to breathe, does not absorb water or dirt, and retains its beautiful natural color.
