OFFNER aluminium grain shovel, without wear strip, with bent ATLAS shovel handle in a length of 130 cm.
The aluminium blade is extra hardened by the addition of manganese, which prevents premature wear on the underside and cheeks. OFFNER grain shovels are very strong, lightweight, and ideal for scooping large, light volumes.
ATLAS shovel handles are made from ash wood rootstocks, which contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing, and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes. By re-drying, the handle does not shrink, and the tool stays firmly attached to the handle.
Next, the ATLAS shovel handles are bent in boiling water. This allows the wood grain or fiber in the handle to bend with it and prevents the grain from running out of the handle (a tapering grain is weaker). The bending process makes the handle extremely strong.
Finally, the ATLAS handle is waxed with the plant-based Carnauba. This allows the wood to breathe, prevents it from absorbing water or dirt, and preserves its beautiful natural color.
