The ATLAS hickory handle is also waxed with plant-based Carnauba. This ensures the wood can breathe, does not absorb water or dirt and retains its beautiful natural light color. Waxing provides a longer lifespan and a pleasant smooth handle, preventing blisters. Moreover, waxing handles with plant-based wax is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.
