Thanks to the extra-thick handle, the user does not have to squeeze as hard to hold the hammer properly. This provides a better grip while striking.

The handle is made of hickory wood. This is a heavy, hard American wood species that is even stronger than ash wood. Hickory wood is exceptionally tough, shock-resistant, and resilient. The hammer handle is smoothly finished for comfort and waxed with vegetable wax. The waxing gives the handle a longer service life, makes it pleasantly smooth to the touch, and helps prevent blisters.
