ATLAS gooseneck shovel handle made of ash wood, strongly bent T-handle, 90 cm long, with a strong through-mount T-grip. Gooseneck shovel handles are recognizable by the thickened lower end of the handle. The thickened lower end makes the handle extra strong and ensures a firm grip in the hand. This ATLAS strongly bent gooseneck shovel handle is usually used together with a scoop shovel, concrete shovel, or digging shovel.
ATLAS gooseneck shovel handles are made from ash tree trunks, which contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing, and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes: during the first drying process, sawn ash wood boards are air-dried. During the second process, the ash wood is computer-controlled re-dried in a climate chamber. Because of the re-drying, the handle does not shrink, tools stay firmly fixed to the handle, and the through-mount T-grip can be pressed onto the handle without glue or staples.
Next, the ATLAS handle is waxed with plant-based Carnauba. This allows the wood to breathe, prevents it from absorbing water or dirt, and helps maintain its beautiful natural color. Waxing ensures a longer service life and a pleasantly smooth handle, helping prevent blisters. In addition, waxing handles with plant-based wax is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.
ATLAS gooseneck shovel handles are manufactured entirely energy-neutral in the Netherlands and are available in various lengths and versions.
