ATLAS handle made of ash wood, tapered model with a length of 180 and a diameter of 4 cm. This tapered handle is suitable for manure hooks (including item number 844450) and scoop buckets (including item number 928002).
ATLAS ash wood handles are made from ash rootstock, which contains the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-resistant, and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes: during the first drying process, sawn ash wood boards are air-dried. During the second process, the ash wood is computer-controlled kiln-dried in a climate chamber. Because of the kiln-drying, the handle does not shrink and tools stay firmly attached to the handle.
Next, the ATLAS handle is waxed with plant-based Carnauba. This allows the wood to breathe, prevents it from absorbing water or dirt, and preserves its beautiful natural color. The waxing ensures a longer lifespan and a pleasantly smooth handle, helping prevent blisters. In addition, plant-based waxing of handles is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.
This ATLAS handle is manufactured entirely carbon-neutral in the Netherlands.
