For extra strength and stability, the outer tines have a diameter of 3 mm. The other tines have a diameter of 2.5 mm. The bracket forms a strong connection with the socket, which keeps the tines in the correct shape. In addition, the holes in the bracket have the same size as the tines, so 3 mm for the outer tines and 2.5 mm for the other tines. This prevents unnecessary friction, resulting in less wear. The waxing gives the handle a longer service life, makes it pleasantly smooth to the touch, and helps prevent blisters.
