Digging fork handle or digging spade handle ATLAS, straight handle with a length of 80 cm, with a strong through-mount T-grip. This handle is suitable for various digging forks and for the De Wit digging spade with article number 810400. For assembly, two rivets are needed (see article number 651620, also for assembly advice).
ATLAS digging fork handles are made from ash wood rootstocks, which contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing, and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes: during the first drying process, sawn ash wood boards are air-dried. During the second process, the ash wood is computer-controlled re-dried in a climate chamber. Because of the re-drying, the handle does not shrink, the tool stays firmly fixed to the handle, and the through-mount T-grip can be pressed onto the handle without glue or a staple.
Next, the ATLAS handle is waxed with plant-based Carnauba. This allows the wood to breathe, prevents it from absorbing water or dirt, and preserves its beautiful light color. The waxing ensures a longer service life and a pleasantly smooth handle, helping prevent blisters. In addition, plant-based waxing of handles is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.
ATLAS digging fork handles are manufactured entirely energy-neutral in the Netherlands.
