ATLAS rake handle made of ash wood, with a length of 170 and a diameter of 3.2 cm, equipped with a long spike of 95 x 17 mm. Thanks to its tapered shape, the handle sits comfortably in the hand and gives the user a good grip.
These ATLAS rake handles are made from ash rootstock, which contains the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-resistant, and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes: during the first drying process, sawn ash wood boards are air-dried. During the second process, the ash wood is computer-controlled re-dried in a climate chamber. This re-drying prevents the handle from shrinking and keeps the tool firmly fixed to the handle.
Next, the ATLAS handle is waxed with plant-based Carnauba. This allows the wood to breathe, prevents it from absorbing water or dirt, and preserves its beautiful light color. The waxing extends the service life and provides a pleasantly smooth handle, helping prevent blisters. In addition, the plant-based waxing of handles is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.
ATLAS ash wood rake handles are manufactured entirely carbon-neutrally in the Netherlands. Rake handles are available in various wood types and versions.
