This screeding shovel, also known as a sand shovel, is best combined with a double bent Blijham handle. Because of the 1/2 bent socket combined with blade size 000, this screeding shovel is an exception to all other shovels. This model is ideal for pavers.
Explanation of socket angle
The socket angle indicates the angle relative to the blade. The higher the socket angle, the more slanted the socket is. This determines whether a shovel is designed for digging or scooping. The socket angle is measured from the ground to the socket when the blade lies flat on the ground.
Straight: the handle is almost straight on the blade
1/4: the socket is 35 mm bent, for example for digging shovels
1/2: the socket is 55 mm bent, for example for scoop shovels and concrete shovels
3/4: the socket is 70cm bent, for example with scoop shovels and deep shovels
Explanation of blade width
In the past, there were blade widths that ranged from size 2 down to 0, with 2 being the largest. Over time, the blades had to become smaller due to working conditions, and smaller sizes were introduced.
