ATLAS digging fork handle made of ash wood, straight T-handle with a length of 90 cm, with a wide through-mount T-grip. This handle is suitable, among other things, for the pointed spade Boskoop model with article number 810170. The 24 cm wide grip provides a comfortable hold and good working posture. Two rivets are required for assembly (see article number 651620, also for assembly advice).
ATLAS digging fork handles are made from ash rootstock, which contains the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing, and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes: during the first drying process, sawn ash wood planks are air-dried. During the second process, the ash wood is computer-controlled re-dried in a climate chamber. Because of the re-drying, the handle does not shrink, tools stay firmly attached to the handle, and the through-mount T-grip can be pressed onto the handle without glue or a staple.
The ATLAS handle is then waxed with plant-based Carnauba. This allows the wood to breathe, prevents it from absorbing water or dirt, and preserves its beautiful natural color. The waxing ensures a longer lifespan and a pleasantly smooth handle, helping prevent blisters. In addition, plant-based waxing of handles is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.
ATLAS digging fork handles are manufactured entirely energy-neutral in the Netherlands.
