Digging fork handle or fork handle ATLAS made of ash wood, rectangular model with a length of 50 cm, equipped with a T-grip. Suitable for a De Wit 3-tine digging fork with forged springs.
ATLAS fork handles are made from ash rootstock; this is the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing, and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes: during the first drying process, sawn ash wood boards are air-dried. During the second process, the ash wood is computer-controlled re-dried in a climate chamber. Because of the re-drying, the handle does not shrink, keeping the tool firmly attached to the handle.
The ATLAS handle is then waxed with plant-based Carnauba. This allows the wood to breathe, does not absorb water or dirt, and retains its beautiful light color. Waxing provides a longer service life and a pleasantly smooth handle, helping prevent blisters. In addition, plant-based waxing of handles is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.
ATLAS fork handles are manufactured entirely energy-neutral in the Netherlands and are available in various lengths and styles.
