Spade handle ATLAS made of plastic in yellow, straight D-handle 72.5 cm in length, provided with a fiber core, a plastic grip, and a milled, smooth, narrow tip, suitable for a Spear & Jackson spade or Atlas gooseneck spade. This handle has virtually the same length as an original Spear & Jackson spade handle. For assembly a 40 mm rivet is recommended (article number 651590, including assembly advice).
The ATLAS plastic shovel handle, thanks to its 21 mm thick fiberglass reinforcement, withstands extremely heavy-duty work and is virtually unbreakable. The strong plastic protects the fiber core from damage (damaged fiberglass contains hundreds of protruding fibers; these can cause wounds that may become infected). The handle is not completely rigid but has a desirable degree of resilience. The plastic D-handle provides a good grip.
Because this handle is so strong (stronger than the blade), no warranty is provided for the mounted blade in the event of breakage.
