D-handle ATLAS made of ash wood, straight handle with a length of 90 cm, specially pointed for a fork with forged tines. The comfortable D-handle and strong handle are manufactured from a single piece by a CNC-controlled machine. The grip of the D-handle is reinforced with a metal pin.
ATLAS D-handles are made from ash tree rootstocks, which contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing, and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes: during the first drying process, sawn ash wood boards are air-dried. During the second process, the ash wood is computer-controlled re-dried in a climate chamber. By re-drying, the handle does not shrink, and tools remain firmly attached to the handle.
The ATLAS handle is then waxed with plant-based carnauba. This ensures that the wood can breathe, does not absorb water or dirt, and retains its beautiful light color. Waxing provides a longer service life and a pleasantly smooth handle, helping prevent blisters. In addition, the plant-based waxing of handles is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.
ATLAS D-handles are manufactured entirely energy-neutral in the Netherlands and are available in various lengths and designs.
