Pitchfork handle ATLAS made of ash wood, with a length of 120 cm. Equipped with a ferrule and drilled hole. This fork handle with a short length is suitable for two- or three-tine pitchforks with a socket connection.
ATLAS pitchfork handles are made from ash rootstocks, which contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing, and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes: during the first drying process, sawn ash wood planks are air-dried. During the second process, the ash wood is computer-controlled kiln-dried in a climate chamber. Because of the kiln-drying, the handle does not shrink and the tool stays firmly attached to the handle.
Next, the ATLAS handle is waxed with plant-based Carnauba. This allows the wood to breathe, prevents it from absorbing water or dirt, and preserves its attractive natural color. The waxing ensures a longer lifespan and a pleasantly smooth handle, helping prevent blisters. Moreover, plant-based waxing of handles is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.
ATLAS pitchfork handles are manufactured entirely carbon-neutrally in the Netherlands and are available in various lengths.
