Pitchfork handle ATLAS made of ash wood, with a length of 165 cm. Equipped with a spring ferrule and drilled hole. This long handle is suitable for a two- or three-tine pitchfork with a socket connection.
ATLAS pitchfork handles are made from ash rootstocks, which contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing, and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes: during the first drying process, sawn ash wood boards are air-dried. During the second process, the ash wood is computer-controlled dried back in a climate chamber. Because of the drying-back process, the handle does not shrink and tools stay firmly attached to the handle.
The ATLAS handle is then waxed with plant-based Carnauba. This allows the wood to breathe, prevents it from absorbing water or dirt, and preserves its beautiful natural color. Waxing ensures a longer lifespan and a pleasantly smooth handle, helping prevent blisters. In addition, plant-based waxing of handles is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.
ATLAS pitchfork handles are manufactured entirely carbon-neutrally in the Netherlands and are available in different lengths.
