Engineer's hammer handle ATLAS made of ash wood for a 100-gram engineer's hammer, with head dimensions of 10 x 17 mm and a length of 27 cm. Thanks to the oval shape of the handle, the hammer head is always in the correct striking direction. For mounting the handle, a metal hammer wedge no. 2 with article number 651415 is recommended.
This ATLAS hammer handle meets the DIN5111 standard.
ATLAS handles are made from ash tree rootstock, which contains the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing, and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes: during the first drying process, sawn ash wood boards are air-dried. During the second process, the ash wood is computer-controlled re-dried in a climate chamber. By re-drying, the handle does not shrink and the hammer head stays firmly attached to the handle.
Next, the ATLAS handle is waxed with plant-based Carnauba. This allows the wood to breathe, does not absorb water or dirt, and retains its beautiful natural color. The waxing provides a longer lifespan and a pleasantly smooth handle, helping prevent blisters. In addition, plant-based waxing of handles is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.
ATLAS hammer handles are manufactured entirely energy-neutral in the Netherlands and are available in various lengths and versions.
