ATLAS club hammer handle made of ash wood for a 1000-gram club hammer or stoning hammer, with a head size of 18.5 x 31.5 mm and a length of 25 cm. Produced according to DIN 5135 standards and suitable for club hammers or stoning hammers with a DIN 6475 standard.
Thanks to the oval shape of the handle, the hammer head is always in the correct striking direction. For mounting the handle, a metal hammer wedge no. 4 with item number 651445 is recommended.
ATLAS club hammer handles are made from ash tree trunks, which contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing, and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes: during the first drying process, sawn ash wood planks are air-dried. During the second process, the ash wood is computer-controlled re-dried in a climate chamber. Because of this re-drying, the handle does not shrink and the hammer head stays rock solid on the handle.
The ATLAS handle is then waxed with the plant-based Carnauba wax. This allows the wood to breathe, prevents it from absorbing water or dirt, and preserves its beautiful light color. The waxing ensures a longer service life and a pleasantly smooth handle, helping prevent blisters. In addition, plant-based waxing of handles is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.
ATLAS club hammer handles are manufactured completely energy-neutral in the Netherlands and are available in various lengths and versions.
