ATLAS knob handle made of ash wood, straight handle without grip, length 110 cm. This handle has an unfresed tip, suitable for Ideal spades with double spring.
ATLAS knob handles are made from ash rootstocks, which contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing, and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes: during the first drying process, sawn ash wood planks are air-dried. During the second process, the ash wood is kiln-dried under computer control in a climate chamber. Because of the redrying, the handle does not shrink and the tool remains firmly attached to the handle.
Next, the ATLAS handle is waxed with the plant-based Carnauba. This ensures that the wood can breathe, does not absorb water or dirt, and retains its beautiful natural color. The waxing provides a longer lifespan and a pleasantly smooth handle, preventing blisters. In addition, the plant-based waxing of handles is better for the environment than the use of varnish or paraffin.
ATLAS knob handles are manufactured entirely energy-neutral in the Netherlands and are available in various versions.
