ATLAS engineer's hammer handle made of hickory wood for an 800-gram engineer's hammer, with head dimensions of 17.5 x 29.5 mm and a length of 34 cm. Because of the oval shape of the handle, the hammer head is always in the correct striking direction. For mounting the handle, a metal hammer wedge no. 3 with item number 651425 is recommended.
This ATLAS hammer handle meets DIN5111 standards.
Hickory is a heavy, hard American wood species that is even stronger than ash wood. Hickory wood is exceptionally tough, shock-resistant, and resilient. The ATLAS hickory handle is also waxed with the plant-based Carnauba. This allows the wood to breathe, prevents it from absorbing water or dirt, and helps it retain its attractive natural color. Waxing provides a longer service life and a pleasantly smooth handle, helping prevent blisters. In addition, the plant-based waxing of handles is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.
ATLAS hickory hammer handles are, for the most part, manufactured in the Netherlands in an energy-neutral way and are available in various lengths and designs.
