Atlas shovel handles are made of ash wood, bent in boiling water (these are extra strong because the grain follows the bend), are mirror-smooth waxed (prevents blisters), kiln-dried in a climate chamber (the handle does not shrink and the tool stays tight), and fitted with a through-mount T-grip without a staple and without glue.
