ATLAS cable shovel or digging shovel with step and straight front edge.
ATLAS cable shovel or digging shovel in 16 cm width, 3/4 bent, equipped with a straight underside and straight step. The extra hardened blade is black lacquered. This cable shovel is delivered without handle. The step on the top of the blade prevents damage to footwear.
Thanks to its narrow shape and the high bent socket, a cable shovel is ideal for digging out trenches. Handy for laying fiber optic cable, irrigation, or ground cable. ATLAS DIAMANT cable shovels are popular among civil engineering and infrastructure companies, pavers, landscapers, and in construction.
A cable shovel is also known as a banana shovel.
ATLAS and ATLAS DIAMANT cable shovels are available in various versions, both with and without handle.
Explanation of socket angle
The socket angle indicates the angle relative to the blade. The higher the socket angle, the more angled the socket is. This determines whether a shovel or bats is designed for digging or scooping. The socket angle is measured from the ground to the socket when the blade is lying flat on the ground.
Straight: the handle is almost vertical on the blade
1/4: the socket is bent up 35 mm, for example for digging shovels
1/2: the socket is bent up 55 mm, for example for scoop shovels and concrete shovels
3/4: the socket is bent up 70 mm, for example with scoop shovels and cable shovels
