Paving trowel ATLAS 1/2 000 hardened, lacquered, with ATLAS gooseneck shovel handle 110 cm extra double bent

ATLAS Paver Shovel or Screeding Shovel with extra double bent Gooseneck Shovel Handle

Paver Shovel or Screeding Shovel ATLAS, Drents model with socket position 1/2 bent and blade size 000, complete with extra double bent Gooseneck Shovel Handle in 110 cm length, equipped with a through-mount T-grip. The bare lacquered blade is hardened, has a sharp edge and a flat underside. Because of the combination of this blade with the extra double bent ATLAS handle, it comes up nicely high, while the blade stays neatly flat on the ground or in the sand bed. This shovel is therefore ideal for pavers.

The ASH WOOD ATLAS Gooseneck Shovel Handle is made from ash wood lower trunks, which contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing, and strong. The ash wood has been computer-controlled and re-dried in a climate chamber. As a result, the handle does not shrink, tools stay rock-solid on the handle, and the through-mount T-grip can be pressed onto the handle without glue or a staple. In addition, the ATLAS handle is waxed with plant-based Carnauba, which ensures a longer service life and a pleasantly smooth handle, preventing blisters.

Explanation of socket position

The socket position indicates the angle relative to the blade. The higher the socket position, the more angled the socket is. This determines whether a shovel or bats is designed for digging or scooping. The socket position is measured from the ground to the socket, when the blade lies flat on the ground.

Straight: the handle is almost straight on the blade

1/4: the socket is bent up 35 mm, for example for digging shovels

1/2: the socket is bent up 55 mm, for example for scoop shovels and concrete shovels

3/4: the socket is bent up 70cm, for example with scoop shovels and deep shovels

Explanation of blade width

In the past, there were blade widths ranging from number 2 down to 0, with 2 being the largest. Over time, the blades had to become smaller due to working conditions, and smaller sizes were introduced.

The blade sizes for shovels and bats, from large to small, are: 2 – 1 – 0 – 00 – 000
