ATLAS DIAMOND cable spade or drainage spade, equipped with a round step and plastic ATLAS T-handle with a length of 80 cm, featuring a fiber core.
This strong forged spade is also called a trenching spade or drainage spade. The spade is ideal for digging a narrow trench for, for example, underground cable, irrigation, or drainage. Thanks to the slightly pointed blade, the spade penetrates the soil easily. Because of the length of the blade, the trench can be made deep enough with ease, so cables and pipes lie at a safe depth.
The blade has a sharp polished edge. This means less resistance while digging and less soil sticking to the blade. The large round step prevents damage to footwear while digging. Thanks to the round shape of the step, it does not catch on anything.
The ATLAS plastic shovel handle is highly resistant to extremely heavy-duty work thanks to the 21 mm thick fiberglass reinforcement and is virtually unbreakable. The strong plastic protects the fiber core from damage (damaged fiberglass has hundreds of upright fibers, which can cause wounds and infections). The handle is not completely rigid, but has a certain desired springiness. The grip of the shovel handle is covered with natural rubber, providing a good grip.
Because this handle is so strong (stronger than the blade), no warranty is given on the mounted blade in the event of breakage.
