Gooseneck shovel handle ATLAS made of ash wood, a strongly bent T-handle in a 90 cm length, with a sturdy through-mount T-grip. Gooseneck shovel handles can be recognized by the thickened lower end of the handle. The thickened lower end makes the handle extra strong and ensures it fits securely in the hand. This ATLAS strongly bent gooseneck shovel handle is usually used together with a scoop shovel or digging shovel.
ATLAS gooseneck shovel handles are made from ash wood lower trunks, which contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing, and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes: during the first drying process, sawn ash wood boards are air-dried. During the second process, the ash wood is computer-controlled re-dried in a climate chamber. By re-drying, the handle does not shrink, the tool stays firmly attached to the handle, and the through-mount T-grip can be pressed onto the handle without glue or a staple.
Next, the ATLAS handle is waxed with plant-based Carnauba. This allows the wood to breathe, prevents it from absorbing water or dirt, and preserves its beautiful natural color. Waxing provides a longer service life and a pleasantly smooth handle, helping prevent blisters. In addition, plant-based waxing of handles is better for the environment than using varnish or paraffin.
ATLAS gooseneck shovel handles are manufactured entirely energy-neutral in the Netherlands and are available in various lengths and versions.
