The maul head is fitted on both sides with extra heavy steel rings and side reinforcement. This makes the head of this fencing maul very strong. Due to the oval shape of the handle, the hammer head is always in the correct striking direction.
ATLAS fencing maul handles are made from ash tree trunks, which contain the best wood. Ash wood is tough, shock-absorbing, and strong. The ash wood undergoes two drying processes. By redrying, the handle does not shrink and the head stays firmly attached to the handle. The ATLAS handle is then waxed with the plant-based Carnauba wax. This allows the wood to breathe, prevents it from absorbing water or dirt, and preserves its beautiful natural color. Waxing ensures a longer service life and a pleasantly smooth handle, helping prevent blisters.
